Former Indian player Mohammad Kaif will serve as an assistant coach for Delhi. Last year, Delhi finished at last on the table.
Ricky Ponting also expressed his views on the announcement and said that sometimes it is important for any team to start a new chapter and take a new approach. A change in the philosophy could certainly help Delhi Capitals turn things around in the coming season of Indian Premier League.
JSW Sports Director, Parth Jindal said that the franchise has gone for a change and renamed their side for the coming season. Delhi Capitals will certainly have a new look for the coming season. The core part of logo depicts tigers that show the franchise’s hunger to win at all costs in the next year’s Indian Premier League.
Delhi has gone for wholesale changes for the coming season as they released 10 players for the coming season. Shikhar Dhawan returns to his native Delhi side after being bought from Sunrisers Hyderabad. The franchise has retained 14 players and still has to fill 10 positions in the squad as the IPL auction will take place on 18th December.
The franchise available resources amount to INR 25.5 crore that they can spend during the IPL auction that will be held in Jaipur.
