IPL Auction 2019 will be held on 18th December on Tuesday in Jaipur
The Indian Premier League auction is going to be held on tomorrow in Jaipur. It’s going to be second time as cricketers from around the world will be up for grabs in the cash-rich league auction event that will be held in Jaipur.
A total of 346 players will be up for grabs for the respective eight franchises in the one-day event. 120 overseas players will be available for acquisition in the player’s auction. The rest of 226 Indian players will be also up for sale in the high-octane event.
There has been slight change in this year’s Indian Premier League auction. Hugh Edmeades will replace Richard Madley as the chief auctioneer for the event. The event will be held in the mornings as opposed to the previous auctions held in the evening. The timings have been adjusted in order to gain a lot of viewership as the event will start at 2:30 Indian standard time in Jaipur
The highest base price for a player is INR 2 crore in the auction process. All the overseas players like Colin Munro, Colin Ingram and D’Arcy Short have set their base price of INR 2 crore. The 346 players will be competing for 70 places available that eight franchises will be trying to fill up. 20 of them will go to overseas players.

Let’s take a look at the full list of salary cap available for all eight Indian Premier League franchises:-
Chennai Super Kings
For Chennai, the franchise will have INR 8.4 crore for this year’s auction process. Chennai don’t have to do much after winning their third trophy last year. Only two places are to be filled by the franchise.
Delhi Capitals will need to play smartly as they have INR 25.5 crore available for the auction process. The franchise need to fill up 10 places in the lineup including 3 slots for overseas players.
Kings XI Punjab
Punjab will be trying to put up strongest possible squad for this year’s competition. The available amount for spending in the auction will be INR 45.8 crore.
Kolkata Knight Riders
Kolkata will need to put in better players in the auction process. The amount available will be INR 66.5 crore.
Two-time champions will need to fill up seven places in their overall squad. The amount available for the franchise will be a whopping INR 70.85 crore.
Inaugural season champions Rajasthan Royals will need to fill nine places in their squad. The amount available for the auction process is INR 60.5 crore.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
RCB will need to take up ten places in their squad. The amount available for spending for this year’s player auction will be INR 63.85 crore.
2016 IPL Champions will need to pick five more players to complete their squad for this season competition. The amount available for player acquisition is INR 72.3 crore.
