3 talking point after day 3 of 1st test of 1st test of India and Australia
Most awaited test series just started two days back. The away team has done well at the end of day 3.
Australia started their innings when they were at 197-7. After that India able to stop the Aussie innings in 235 runs.
Here we have discussed 3 points of day 3.
3. KL Rahul learns a lot from 1st innings
Consistent is the key to every quality batsman. The quality batsman must have the ability to score more runs in any kind of different situations.
Yes, we are talking about stylish KL Rahul. He is gifted with timing and classic stroke. But failed to convert a big inning using his capacities. Rahul hardly scored just 400 runs in 11 test matches this. This is a very unhappy result. Rahul needs to improve on his consistency.
As he has scored 2 runs in first innings and 44 runs was a very good though. But the talking point in the warm match, he played an unrealistic shot which was not expecting form him.
“We know his ability, and if he converts that to performances, then it is important for the team. He is not a young player anymore, and he is on his second tour here. He has played 30 Tests, and he has a responsibility. We expect him to play with that responsibility and play his role for the team,” the batting coach said.
2. Very good contribution among India bowlers
India is good shape right now. Match prediction can’t do it now, but Dream11expert believe India kept the match in their favor so far.
The amazing contribution of India bowlers helps to do that. In the first innings, Veteran Ashwin takes 3 wickets. Yorker specialist Bumrah also helped by taking 3 wickets. Speed bowlers Shami and Ishant Sharma has taken 2 wickets.
1. Classic Pujara show
This man is just incredible in test format cricket. When India searching for momentum this man always try to give the spark.
That is Harsha Bhogle said, “Pujara is a classical musician in an era of Yo Yo Honey Singh.”
An extraordinary century in 1st innings helped Indian to fight back after the early dismissal of the top order. And again he is doing the same job. It seems like he started his second inning after the first innings. Very similar and we’ll known innings, he could nightmare for Australia. He is still not out at 40 runs.
“It is easy to play shots. When you start playing shots [during a testing spell], that means your game is not capable enough to play the Test format. You are trying to survive rather than understand the situation and play accordingly. When you start playing shots, it means you are under pressure as a batsman and you are not able to handle that situation. When you defend confidently you know you are in command, you are on top of the bowler, and he doesn’t have a chance to get you out. You will ultimately score runs when he bowls a loose ball.” – Cheteshwar Pujara
