Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe 2nd Test Preview- Bangladesh aim to make a comeback against Zimbabwe in Mirpur

Hosts Bangladesh will be looking to make a comeback when face Zimbabwe in the second and final game of the Test series to be played in Mirpur on Sunday.

The match is certainly must-win game for Bangladesh, who will be keen to win the game to level the two-match Test series. On other hand, Zimbabwe certainly registered a historic win away from home after 17 years. Hamilton Masakadza and co. will be certainly be eyeing a series victory in Bangladesh.

In the first game, Zimbabwe beat Bangladesh by 151 runs courtesy of splendid performances from Sean Williams, Sikandar Raza and Brandon Mavuta.

In the second and final match, Bangladesh will rely on the likes of Mushfiqur Rahim and Mominul Haque to do bulk of the scoring for the side.

Mominul certainly has been Bangladesh’s leading scorer this year with 350 runs in 5 matches at an average of 35, which includes two centuries as well. Rahim will need to find form with the bat as he managed to score only 227 runs from 5 matches at an average of 22.70.

In the bowling department, Taijul Islam has been Bangladesh’s leading wicker this year with 26 wickets from 4 games at an average of 25.15. Off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraaz failed to produce anything with the ball. He will need to improve with the ball to help Bangladesh level the series.

On the other hand, Zimbabwe certainly pulled off an amazing result due to decent performances from Sean Williams and Sikandar Raza.

In the batting department, Zimbabwe will be once again on relying on likes of Brendan Taylor, Captain Hamilton Masakadza and Sean Williams to do the scoring. Williams played exceedingly well and would be keen to continue good form in this final game of the series.

In the bowling department, the spin duo of Sikandar Raza and Brandon Mavuta will be crucial for Zimbabwe in this game. Tendai Chatara and Kyle Jarvis also produced probing spells upfront with the new-ball in the first game of the series played at Sylhet.
